Deep Tissue Therapy

Chronic aches and pains, as well as a stiff neck or upper back, lower back pain, leg muscle stiffness, and aching shoulders, are treated by our Deep Tissue Therapy. During a deep tissue massage, our therapists may use their fingertips, knuckles, hands, elbows, and forearms. As the therapist focuses on tense regions, you may be advised to take deep breaths.

How Does It Work?

Even though some of the strokes are like those used in Swedish massage therapy, deep tissue massage is distinct in that it is used to physically break down scar tissue and dissipate muscle “knots” or adhesions – bands of painful, rigid tissue that can disrupt circulation and cause pain, limited range of motion, and inflammation. After the massage, drinking water can assist remove metabolic waste from the tissues.
