How Does It Work?
Even though some of the strokes are like those used in Swedish massage therapy, deep tissue massage is distinct in that it is used to physically break down scar tissue and dissipate muscle “knots” or adhesions – bands of painful, rigid tissue that can disrupt circulation and cause pain, limited range of motion, and inflammation. After the massage, drinking water can assist remove metabolic waste from the tissues.
